Update: Heavily Armed Mobile Policemen Now In Sagamu As Tension Rises Amidst Sporadic Shootings

 

Heavily armed policemen in trucks have arrived Sagamu from Zone 2 to shore up security in the town after a faceoff of shootings between members of the Nigeria Police Force and internet fraudsters.

According to sources, a total of 19 trucks filled with mobile policemen have arrived the town after long hours of shooting sprees between “Yahoo Boys” and the Police.



ZINO T news online  had earlier reported that an altercation was in the spotlight between the Police and the “Yahoo Boys” who according to sources, are retaliating after two girls were reportedly killed by men of the NPF and one injured.
The gun battle had started earlier this morning with Ita-Oba area of the town, the centre of the feud.
Sagamu is a town with a heavy presence of internet fraudsters whose consistencies are helped by the corruption of the men of the Nigeria Police Force. Many of the boys pay through their nose to continue to drive about as men of the NPF trail them unprofessionally, charge them for nothing and receive bribes from them, which acvording to reliable sources, sometimes run into millions.
It is expected that the battle will be stemmed within a shorter period with the heavy presence of police officers in the town now.
